Add subtitles to your videos directly from THRON: generation is automatic via Ambra AI, which detects the spoken language and creates the file autonomously. You can then download, upload revised versions, or add additional languages.

Generate subtitles automatically

1. Open the video details page.

2. Click on Generate subtitles with AMBRA AI.

3. Wait for completion: the overlay opens and displays subtitles alongside the player.

4. Start playback to check accuracy: a timeline indicator highlights the current position in the subtitle column.

Manage subtitles

To upload subtitles in additional languages, download existing files, or delete them, the system directs you to a legacy interface (v7): click on Manage subtitles in the generation overlay.

The Subtitles section on the video details page lists all available languages. Subtitles generated by Ambra and those uploaded manually appear in the same list.

Download an SRT file

Click the download icon to the right of your target language.

Upload subtitles for a new language

1. Click on Upload subtitles.

2. Select the destination language.

3. Upload the SRT file.

You can upload subtitles for languages different from the automatically detected audio language.

Remove subtitles

Click the trash icon to the right of the language you wish to delete.

Correct or update subtitles

Subtitles cannot be edited directly within the platform. To update them:

1. Download the SRT file from the Subtitles section via the legacy interface (v7)

2. Edit the file in an external text editor

3. Re-upload the updated file to the same language
