Upload Digital Assets
You can upload assets to the Digital Assets area at any time: images, videos, documents (PDF, PPT, and other formats), and audio files, either individually or in bulk in the same operation. You can do this from the dashboard or, if you have the THRON Drive add-on, directly from your computer's file system.
In THRON, assets are not simply stored files: they are smart objects to which you can associate metadata, access permissions, distribution rules, and direct links to products in the catalog.
Upload one or more Digital Assets
Access the Digital Assets area and, if necessary, navigate to the folder where you want to upload the assets

Choose one of the following methods for uploading:
Click on the + New element button and select Upload new files
Alternatively, you can select the files you want to upload and drag them directly into the interface using Drag & Upload mode.

From the upload panel, choose:
The type of asset that will be created (we recommend keeping the one suggested by the system)
Whether you want to allow users to download the assets
If you forgot any files, you can add them at any time
Click on Upload to confirm the upload
The asset title will be automatically populated with its filename during upload
THRON Drive: platform assets right in your computer's file system
With THRON Drive, THRON folders become browsable directly from your computer's file system, featuring the same structure, filters, and search logic as the platform. You can drag and drop entire folder trees to populate the platform, open a file using your desktop software, and upon saving, the new version is automatically updated in THRON without re-uploading, respecting all defined permissions.
When to use it: when you need to import a folder structure already organized on your computer, or when you work on files daily with desktop applications and want new versions to reach the platform without going through the dashboard.
THRON Drive is a THRON Platform add-on activated via user licenses: it is not included by default in any plan. To check whether it is available in your environment or to activate it, contact your THRON account manager.

This section outlines the structural constraints to consider during the planning phase:
The Platform allows uploading files up to a maximum of 5 GB
The Platform allows uploading a maximum of 100 files simultaneously
You can upload files with names up to 150 characters long
Troubleshooting
The + button is disabled
Verify that you have the Can insert new content permission and the Can add/remove on folder right on the destination folder if you are inside a folder.
The folder is not selectable
Verify that you have the Can add/remove right on the destination folder. If the folder does not appear in the selection list, contact your administrator to obtain the necessary rights.
The "Additional actions" option to create Playlists is not available
Ensure that all selected files are of the same type. Automatic playlist creation is not available for mixed selections (e.g., images + videos together).
