Portal overview

If you distribute materials to a network of agents, resellers, or designers — and today you do it via email, shared Drives, or scattered links — the B2B Area gives you a single controlled hub from which to deliver everything, with accesses profiled by group.

Some usage examples:

• an agent consulting price lists and downloading technical data sheets

• a reseller accessing approved assets for their own communications

• an architect or designer browsing the catalog to identify products or finishes to include in a project

With the B2B Area, you decide what to display to your external users: you can provide access to brand materials and technical documentation, browsable catalogs and product sheets, or both. The configuration adapts to your use case. The B2B Portal is a web application on a custom domain that offers your external users three configurable types of experiences:

Accessing administrative interfaces

Click on your name in the bottom left to open the user menu. From here you can access My account, User management, Group management, and Customize. The available options depend on your role: Customize is reserved for Super Admins.

User roles

The portal provides four roles with progressive access levels. In User management, each role has a dedicated list and its own creation and import buttons.

• Super Admin: has full access to all folders and manages the portal in its entirety. Creates users of any role, configures groups and folder access permissions, and updates system preferences.

• Admin: has access to all folders, creates User and Admin users, and configures groups and folder access permissions. Cannot access Customize.

• User: only accesses the folders and contents that have been shared with them through their group.

• Guest User: used to provide access to the portal without authentication. It is associated with a group, which defines which contents are visible via the link, and cannot access settings.

How your users access

The portal provides two access modes.

• Email and password: the user sets a dedicated password for the portal.

• THRON credentials: the user uses the same credentials with which they log in to the THRON platform and does not manage an additional password. When clicking on THRON Login, they authenticate on the platform and re-enter the portal already recognized, relying on the authentication configuration you already have active on THRON.

Choose the mode user by user, filling in or leaving blank the THRON Username field during creation.

In both cases, the user must be enabled in the portal, even via a simple bulk import. This is an intentional gate: it prevents anyone with THRON credentials from entering the B2B area without reason. Once configured, access is immediate.

User management

The User management section is accessible to Super Admins and Admins. Users are listed by role, and the Login column indicates the access mode for each:

• Key icon: access with email and password

• THRON logo: access with THRON credentials

The Activated column indicates whether the user is active.

Account activation

Every user you create, individually or via import, receives an email with an activation link and remains deactivated until clicking that link. You don't need to activate them manually: the Activated column shows at a glance who has completed activation and who has not opened the email yet.

• User without THRON Username: from the link, they set the password used to access the portal, and from that moment the account is active.

• User with THRON Username: upon clicking the link, the account is activated immediately, without setting any password.

Registration requests

From the login page, a user can click on Register and fill in the form with first name, last name, and email. Admins and Super Admins receive a notification email and find the request in the Registration requests block at the top of the User management section, where they can accept or reject it.

• Request accepted: the user receives an email with the activation link and sets their password.

• Request rejected: the user is deleted from the system and can submit a new request.

Creating a user

The creation button is role-specific: click on Create new User for an end user, on Create new Admin for an administrator, and so on. The available fields are:

Bulk user import

Already have a list of users to invite? With Import, you can upload the list of users all at once without creating them one by one. The list is uploaded via a .csv file, whose template you can download from the import window. Each imported user receives an email with the activation link, just as if you had created them manually. Import is available for Super Admin, Admin, and User, not for Guest User.

Granting access without credentials with a Guest User

To open the portal for temporary events, promotions, launches, or previews, create a user with the Guest User role: upon creation, the portal generates a link to a landing page that logs in automatically without requiring credentials.

1. Click on Create new Guest User and associate the user with the group that defines which media and products they can browse.

2. Retrieve the link from the user's row using the link icon.

3. Share the link. Once the event is concluded, deactivate the user, and with them, the link.

You can create multiple Guest Users associated with different groups: each has a dedicated landing page and link. Unlike other roles, a Guest User cannot access their own profile.

Modifying a user

Click on the pencil icon next to the user to open account details. The editable properties are:

• Status, activated or deactivated

• First and Last Name

• THRON Username

• Role

• Password

Searching for a user

The search bar at the top of the User management section searches by name or email among users with the User role. Super Admin, Admin, and Guest User do not appear in the results.

Removing a user

Click on the trash icon next to the user and confirm with Yes. Removal is irreversible.

Group management

Groups define content visibility for end users. A user without a group cannot see any content in the portal. In the group list, you will find the number of Members and the Original file download toggle, which enables downloading files in their original version for that group.

Membership rules

• In groups, you add users with the User and Guest User roles

• A user can belong to only one group

• Admin and Super Admin have full visibility by default and must not be added to groups

Folder access

Click on the folder icon next to the group to open the Folder access panel. Navigate the tree and select the THRON folders to which the group will have access.

Product settings

Click on the box icon next to the group to open the Product settings for group panel. This panel governs both the Products section and the Technical materials section, which share the same catalogs. The available parameters are:

The Attribute mapping block at the bottom of the panel links the attributes of your data model to the product properties used by the portal:

Product catalogs

Catalogs in the Products section of the B2B portal are based on a special attribute configured in THRON's Products section.

Configuration of the b2b_catalog attribute

1. In THRON's Products section, create an attribute with the exact name b2b_catalog.

2. The type must strictly be MULTISELECT.

3. Add as options the names of the catalogs you want to create (e.g. 2025 Collection, Contract Line, Export Catalog).

4. Populate the b2b_catalog attribute on each product according to its belonging catalog.

Once configured, the B2B portal automatically reads the attribute values and displays them as selectable catalogs in group configuration.

Portal customization

The Customize section is accessible only to the Super Admin and is organized into five tabs: General, Navigation, Layout, Catalogs, and Folders.

General

Here you set the visual identity of the portal and tracking.

For logo, favicon, and login image, provide the Media URL of the asset in THRON. You obtain the URL from a URL share on the asset.

With the GTM code active, the portal automatically dispatches the following events:

Navigation

From here you compose the navigation bar by adding, editing, and reordering items, up to a maximum of six custom items. For each item, you set the icon (chosen from a preset collection) and the Label in each language enabled for the portal. The Type determines where the item links to:

Hide, show, and reorder items at any time by dragging them.

Media, Products, and Technical materials items are visible to all users: if a user does not have access to any folder or catalog, the portal informs them on the page. Items linked to a specific folder are visible only to those who have access to that folder or one of its subfolders, and catalog-linked items only to those who have access to that catalog.

Layout

From here you compose the Homepage by combining one or more blocks, even of the same type, in your preferred order. Click on Add a new block and choose from four types:

For the Contents block, define the title, the CTA text and CTA link of the button leading to the full list, then the individual cards. For each card, choose the type among Media, Products, and Technical materials, the folder or catalog it represents, the image via Media URL, and the localized Label. You can place cards of different types in the same block. Clicking takes the user to the catalog with product cards or technical materials view, or inside the folder.

Fill in the texts language by language using the Selected language selector at the top of the page.

Catalogs and Folders

These two tabs govern how catalogs and folders are presented to the user. In Catalogs, you set the preview image and display order of catalogs, separately for the Products section and the Technical materials section. In Folders, you do the same for folders in the Media section. Specify images with the asset's Media URL and change order by dragging rows.

Media section

Folder view

The user accesses the folder structure to which their group has visibility. Folders not included in the group's configuration are neither visible nor accessible. In the top right, a counter shows how many items the open folder contains.

Sorting

Inside a folder, click on Sort by in the top left and choose the criterion in the Sort contents panel:

• Creation: oldest first

• Creation: newest first

• Last modified: oldest first

• Last modified: newest first, the default order

Confirm with Apply.

View type

Switch between wall view and list view with the control in the top right.

Attribute filters

Inside a folder, click on Filters to narrow down contents. The filter works on:

• asset attributes and product attributes, among those you enabled during activation

• content type: images, videos, audio, documents, playlists, URLs

• file extension, for example jpg, tif, png, pdf, mp4, mov, xls, zip

Filters combine with AND logic: "product category = skirt" plus "color = black" returns only black skirts.

For all modules — Media, Products, and Technical materials — the filter panel opens on the right. During activation, you decide whether to show it open by default, and whether to already expand the individual filter categories. If the user closes them, the portal remembers their preference via cookies and keeps them closed.

Search

The search bar searches across all media accessible to the user. It works as an instant search showing the top 5 results by relevance. Click on All results to open the full page, with a maximum of 50 items in order of relevance.

From the Homepage, search covers all media content accessible to the user, across all folders to which their group has visibility, evaluating title, description, and all active attributes on the content. Advanced search is also available.

Content download

Download content in two ways: click on Download folder to retrieve all items in the open folder in a single operation, or select individual items, up to a maximum of 50. Filtered contents or search results can also only be downloaded if they total fewer than 50.

Before proceeding, choose the desired file format:

Asset detail

Click on an asset to view its details in the THRON player. From the detail view, you can download the individual asset.

Technical materials section

This section collects documentation and technical assets attached to products, such as 3D models and CAD/DWG formats, with product-oriented navigation. It uses the same catalogs as the Products section.

Navigation

The initial page displays catalogs as cards. Enter a catalog to find products that have associated technical materials, each with its image and name.

Downloading materials

On each product, click on Download all to download all technical materials associated with that product in a single operation, packed into a single zip file.

Filters, sorting, and search

Click on Filters to open the panel on the right, and on Sort by to choose the sorting criterion in the Sort products panel, featuring the same four options as the Products section. The search bar at the top searches among products that have technical materials.

Products section

View type

Just like Media, switch between wall view and list view with the control in the top right. In wall view, each product displays its main image, name, and SKU. In list view, you see the image, name, and SKU plus up to 7 additional attributes configured in the group settings.

Product filters

Click on Filters to open the panel on the right. Filterable attributes are those configured for the group, and end users cannot edit them. You can apply a maximum of 10 filters in AND.

Product sorting

Click on Sort by and choose the criterion in the Sort products panel:

• Creation: oldest first, the default order

• Creation: newest first

• Last modified: oldest first

• Last modified: newest first

Confirm with Apply.

Product export

Click on Export all to export products in XLSX format. The export includes all product data and works even with active filters or partial selection.

Product detail

The detail page displays:

• Main image and media gallery

• Name, SKU, and description

• The Product features table, with attributes configured in general or group settings

• Galleries configured as downloadable, downloaded in a single operation

• The technical data sheet, if the attribute is configured and populated

• The Product variants block, if the product has variants

Use Export product to export data for an individual product.
