Getting started with Ambra AI MCP
With THRON's AMBRA AI MCP, your favorite AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, or corporate Microsoft Copilot — can query THRON Products and Digital Assets directly in natural language, without opening the platform.
What you can do once connected:
Search and filter products and assets directly in chat
Ask Ambra to retrieve specific information from the catalog
Integrate THRON data into your existing AI workflows
Prerequisites
Before starting, check that you have:

Your THRON MCP URL
The MCP server URL always has this format:
https://<clientId>.thron.com/api/v1/mcp/servers/default
For Microsoft Copilot we have developed an optimized version so you can use
https://<clientId>.thron.com/api/v1/mcp/servers/copilot
Replace <clientId> with the identifier of your THRON service code. You can find it in the URL when you are logged into the platform — it is the part before .thron.com.
Example: if the URL of your platform is
companyhub.thron.com, your MCP URL ishttps://companyhub.thron.com/api/v1/mcp/servers/default
Keep this URL handy: you will need it in all the setups below.
Setup for Claude
Requirement: Claude PRO account (or higher).
Open the settings of your Claude account
Go to Connectors and click Add custom connector
Assign a name to the connector (e.g.,

A browser window opens with the THRON login screen — enter your THRON credentials and authorize access
Go back to Claude: the connector is now Connected

Note: the connector must be enabled at the beginning of each new chat. Once active, it remains available throughout the conversation.

Configuration of Tools accessible by the LLM
Once the server is connected, you can choose which tools Ambra can use directly from the connector configuration tab.
Before executing any MCP tool, Claude and ChatGPT show an explicit confirmation request to the user — regardless of the type of operation.
Best practice (Copilot Studio): during the first agent configuration, leave all tools active. Disable only those that you know for sure are not needed by your team.

What you can do with Ambra AI and your LLM
Once connected, your AI assistant can access the THRON catalog as if it had always known it. No more manual searches, no more tabs opened in parallel: ask in natural language and get what you need.
Here are some concrete examples to understand the possibilities.
Find products
Don't remember the exact name? No problem.
"Find me all men's winter coats in black color, available in the fall/winter collection"
The AI queries the catalog, filters the results and shows you a list with thumbnails and main attributes — without you having opened THRON.
Explore the catalog for inspiration
Not just search: you can use the AI as a creative partner.
"I'm working on a campaign about summer accessories. Show me the most representative products of the Bags family with their main images"
The designer does not open THRON, does not filter, does not export. They chat and get a visual preview of the catalog directly in the conversation.
Verify multilingual coverage
"For the products of the Sneakers family, in what languages are the descriptions available? Are there any products without a French translation?"
Useful for international teams managing multi-locale catalogs and needing to ensure completeness before launching in a new market.
The real value is not in the single answer, but in the conversation. You can start with a generic question, refine the criteria, ask for a comparison — all in the same thread, without losing context. It's the THRON catalog that comes to you, not the other way around.
