B2B Area: first steps and configuration
Portal overview
If you distribute materials to a network of agents, resellers, or designers — and today you do it via email, shared Drives, or scattered links, the B2B Area gives you a single controlled point from which to deliver everything, with accesses profiled by group.
Some usage examples:
- an agent who consults price lists and downloads technical data sheets
- a reseller who accesses approved assets for their own communications
- an architect or designer who navigates the catalog to identify products or the finish to include in a project
With the B2B Area you decide what to show to your external users: you can grant access to brand materials and technical documentation, to navigable catalogs and product cards, or to both. The configuration adapts to your use case. The B2B Portal is a web application on a custom domain that exposes three types of configurable experiences to your external users:
| Section | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Media | Downloadable media (e.g., catalogs, price lists, brochures, and seasonal campaigns) organized in thematic blocks and configurable by target |
| Technical materials | Documentation and technical assets (e.g., 3D models, CAD and DWG formats) organized in dedicated catalogs with product-oriented navigation |
| Products | Navigable product catalogs with detailed cards |
Settings and configuration
Super Admin Menu
By clicking on the user's avatar you can access the administrative interfaces:
User roles
The portal provides three roles with progressive access levels
- Super Admin: they can administer the portal in its entirety
- Admin: they can govern the portal excluding aesthetic customization and the creation of other advanced users
- End users: they can only access the contents that Admins and Super Admins have decided to make available for consumption
Warning: An Admin cannot create users with a higher role than their own. It is not possible to assign the Super Admin role through an Admin account.
User management
The User Management section is accessible to Super Admins and Admins. Users are listed by role. Next to the email of each user, an icon indicates the active login mode:
- Key icon — login via email and password combination
- THRON logo — login via THRON credentials

User group management
Groups define the visibility of content for Guest users. A Guest without a group does not see any content in the portal.

- A Guest user can belong to only one group
- Admins and Super Admins have full visibility by default and should not be placed in groups

Product catalogs: how they work
The catalogs in the Products section of the B2B portal are based on a special attribute configured in the Products section of THRON. To find out how to add attributes to the Products data model read the relevant guide.
Configuration of the b2b_catalog attribute
- In the Products section of THRON, create an attribute with the exact name
b2b_catalog. - The type must mandatorily be MULTISELECT.
- Add as options the names of the catalogs you want to create (e.g., Collection 2025, Contract Line, Export Catalog).
- Assign the
b2b_catalogattribute on each product based on the catalog it belongs to.
Warning: The name of the attribute must be exactly b2b_catalog — capitals and characters included. A different name makes the catalogs invisible to the B2B portal.
Once configured, the B2B portal automatically reads the attribute values and exposes them as selectable catalogs in the group configuration.
Portal customization
