Media attributes: link Digital Assets to your products
Media Gallery attributes enrich your products with multimedia content already present and enriched in the platform: images, videos, and documents. They are not simple containers, but dynamic connection points between the product catalog and the content repository.
To manage the product data model, you must be an Administrator or have the permission Can manage product data modeling.
Supported assets: images, videos, documents, URLs, audio, and pagelets.
Requirements:
To use Media attributes, you must have created at least one in the data model.
To view assets, you must have visibility on the folder containing them.
To link an asset, you must have the Share permission on the specific asset.
To edit an asset, the Edit permission is required.

- Link Digital Assets to a Product
To associate multimedia content with a specific attribute, follow these steps within the product detail sheet:
Locate the media attributes section on the right side of the page.
Click on Link resources next to the attribute you wish to populate.
In the modal that opens, use the folder tree on the left to navigate your repository.
Select assets: click on the thumbnails of the assets you want to link. Use the SHIFT key to quickly select a range of content.
Use Filters by type (such as image, video, or document) or the Search bar by filename to quickly find what you need.
Click the confirmation button at the top right to close the modal.
Click Save Changes on the main product page: the association is not final until you save.
Recommended configuration
To keep product sheets lightweight and performant, do not exceed 10-15 assets per single attribute, even though the system allows higher limits.
Management and Sorting
Once linked, you can define the display order of the assets. The first asset in the list can become the product's main image.
Sorting
You can change the order in two ways:
Drag-and-drop: drag the thumbnails to the desired position.
Dedicated buttons: use the arrows on the right side of the asset list.
Remember to confirm the sorting and then save the product sheet.
Product main image: how it is selected
The image displayed in the main section of the product sheet is the first asset of the first media gallery. Therefore, two sorting orders matter:
Asset order: inside the media gallery, the first asset in the list becomes the main image.
Media gallery order: the media gallery that appears first in the attribute group configuration provides the image.
For a localized media gallery, the value in the selected locale applies. If there are no assets in that locale, the platform uses the first available asset from another media gallery.
To choose which media gallery provides the main image, go to Platform Settings → Products → Attribute Groups and place the media gallery you want to use first.
Disconnect a Digital Asset
To remove an asset from an attribute:
Select one or more assets from the list, using SHIFT for multiple selections.
Click the red button to remove.
Click Save Changes on the product page to apply the removal.
