Product Relationships - Reference Attributes
Use the Reference attribute to create logical links between Products. This feature is essential to manage packages, looks or to automatically feed interactive hotspots within your contents.
Overview
The Reference attribute allows you to associate a list of other related products to a product.
Goal: Create "one-to-many" relationships to enrich the end user experience.
Value: Enables cross-product navigation and allows you to automate the proposal of complementary products (e.g. "Complete the look" or "Kit components").
Viewing and Navigation
Access a product's detail page to manage its references:
Within the card, locate the Reference type attributes.
You will see a list of already linked products (up to a maximum of 100).
Quick Preview: Hover over a related product's thumbnail to see its enlargement.
Navigation: Click on the Product Code to jump directly to the detail page of that specific product.
Link Products
You can add new references in two ways, depending on the amount of data you have.
Standard Preset: Recommended Configuration
If you already have a list of codes (SKU) ready, use the Bulk add. It is the fastest method to populate relationships without manual searches.
Bulk add: Click on Bulk add and paste one or more product identifiers into the text box.
Add related products: Click on Add related products if you prefer to search for products using the platform filters (e.g. by category, tag or metadata).
Confirmation: Once the products have been selected, click on Confirm.
Save: The products will appear in the list, but will not be saved until you click on Save changes in the upper right.
Organize and Remove Links
You can manage the order in which related products appear to prioritize certain items.
Sorting: Click on the icon with the double arrow. Drag the rows to change the order or use the side arrows. Confirm and click Save changes.
Single Removal: Click the Unlink icon next to the product.
Mass Removal: Select the products via the checkbox and click Detach selected references.
Note: Also for removal, remember to always click on Save changes to make the changes permanent.
Reverse Relationships
To find out which other products cite the item you are viewing, use the Used By feature.
Click the USED BY button in the section header.
You will be redirected to a filtered list showing all products in which the current product is inserted as a reference.
Sharing: This view has a specific URL. You can copy it and share it with your team to quickly show all active correlations of that product.
Return: Click on Back to all products to return to the main list maintaining the filters previously applied.
Deep Dive: Limits and Technical Notes
This section collects the structural details necessary for system maintenance:
Quantitative Limit: Each individual Reference attribute can host a maximum of 100 related products. Beyond this limit, the system will not allow further additions.
Persistence: Any change (addition, removal or move) remains in a "pending" state in the interface until the Save changes button is pressed. If you close the page before saving, the data will not be updated.
Data Integrity: If a product linked as a reference is deleted from the platform, the pointer in the Reference list will be automatically removed to prevent navigation errors.
