How to logically group your product attributes
Attribute Groups are logical containers that group homogeneous product attributes by category or function. They are essential to govern the Data Model, improving the readability of product sheets and avoiding confusion or duplication during enrichment.
To manage the product data model you must be an Administrator or have the "Can manage product data modeling" permission. You must also have already created the attributes in the dedicated section.
In THRON, organization follows precise structural rules to keep the system scalable:
Unique membership: Each attribute belongs to only one Attribute Group.
Capacity: Each group can host up to a maximum of 100 attributes.
Usability: Groups define the sections of the product sheet and can be ordered among themselves to optimize the interface.
Configuration and Management
To organize attributes in logical groups follow these operational steps:
Creation of a new Group
Log in to Platform Settings → Products → Attribute Groups.
Click on New Group.
Enter the Code respecting the format constraints (invalid characters are blocked in input).
Click Create and configure to access the detail page.
Set the Labels (Label Translations) to define the displayed name for each active locale.
To add an attribute to the newly created group go to Platform Settings → Products → Attribute Groups and edit the attribute.

Attribute Organization
Moving: To move an attribute to another group, click the remove icon to the right of the row, select the destination and confirm with Move.
Sorting: Drag the attributes using the drag & drop icon on the left to define the internal order of the group.
Saving: Always click Save Changes to apply the variations.
Limits and Technical Constraints

Recommended Standard Preset
For an orderly Data Model, THRON suggests dividing the attributes into the following standard groups:
Technical Data: Technical data from ERP/PLM such as dimensions and materials.
Marketing Data: Commercial content, claims and editorial descriptions.
Sales Data: Prices, sales channels and availability.
Media Data: Specific metadata for images, videos and documents.
Logistic Data: Weights, volumes and packaging specifications.
