CI HUB Connector: Use your THRON assets in Microsoft 365

Install the CI HUB Connector plugin to access all the contents of your THRON DAM directly within Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) without ever interrupting your workflow.

Prerequisites:

Active Microsoft 365 subscription with access to Word, Excel or PowerPoint (desktop or web).

CI HUB Credentials: You need them to activate the connection with THRON. If you don't have them, request them from your Customer Success, your THRON Account or your internal Administrator.

THRON Credentials: These are the username and password you usually use to access THRON via browser.

Install the Plugin

You can install the CI HUB Connector directly from Microsoft AppSource:

  1. Open Microsoft AppSource (appsource.microsoft.com) or, from within Word, Excel or PowerPoint, go to Insert → Add-ins → Get Add-ins.

  2. Search for "CI HUB Connector" in the search bar and select the CI HUB Connector result.

  3. Click on Get it now (or Add) and follow the on-screen instructions.

  4. Once the installation is complete, reopen your Microsoft 365 application of choice: the CI HUB panel will appear in the right sidebar.

Log in to CI HUB

Once you open the CI HUB panel in your Microsoft 365 application, log in:

  1. In the CI HUB panel, click on the Login button.

  2. Enter your CI HUB ID (Email) in the form and click Next.

  3. Once you have successfully logged in, return to the application.

Connection to THRON

After logging in, connect your THRON account to the CI HUB panel:

  1. In the CI HUB panel, click on the "+" button to add a new connection.

  2. Type THRON in the search bar and click on the "+" button that appears next to the logo.

  3. URL Configuration: In the THRON tenant URL field, enter only the name of your platform. Example: if your address is https://yourcompany.thron.com, enter only yourcompany.

  4. Click on Login.

  5. Enter your THRON Username and Password and click on Log in.

  6. When the message "CI HUB SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTED TO THRON" appears, you can close the browser window and start working.

Browse and search THRON assets

Once connected to THRON, explore your assets directly in the CI HUB panel:

  1. Navigate the THRON folder tree or switch to the Assets tab.

  2. Use the search bar to find assets via text, metadata or tags.

  3. Apply filters for date, file type or THRON taxonomy to refine the results.

  4. Click on an asset to view its preview and metadata.

Insert assets into the document

Drag or insert the asset from the CI HUB panel directly into your Microsoft 365 document:

  1. Drag the asset from the CI HUB panel directly into the document, presentation or spreadsheet.

  2. Alternatively, click on the asset and select Insert to place it where the cursor is.

  3. Resize or reposition the asset according to your needs.
