CI HUB Connector: Use your THRON assets in Google Workspace
Install the CI HUB Connector plugin to access all the contents of your THRON DAM directly within Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides) without ever interrupting your workflow.
Prerequisites:
Active Google Workspace account with access to Docs, Sheets or Slides (desktop or web).
CI HUB Credentials: You need them to activate the connection with THRON. If you don't have them, request them from your Customer Success, your THRON Account or your internal Administrator.
THRON Credentials: These are the username and password you usually use to access THRON via browser.
Install the Plugin
You can install the CI HUB Connector directly from the Google Workspace Marketplace:
Open the Google Workspace Marketplace (marketplace.google.com) or, from within Docs, Sheets or Slides, go to Extensions → Add-ons → Get add-ons.
Search for "CI HUB Connector" in the search bar and select the CI HUB Connector result.
Click on Install and grant the required permissions.
Once the installation is complete, open your Google Workspace application of choice: the CI HUB panel will appear in the right sidebar.
Log in to CI HUB
Once you open the CI HUB panel in your Google Workspace application, log in:
In the CI HUB panel, click on the Login button.
Enter your CI HUB ID (Email) in the form and click Next.
Once you have successfully logged in, return to the application.
Connection to THRON
After logging in, connect your THRON account to the CI HUB panel:
In the CI HUB panel, click on the "+" button to add a new connection.
Type THRON in the search bar and click on the "+" button that appears next to the logo.
URL Configuration: In the THRON tenant URL field, enter only the name of your platform.
Enter your THRON credentials (username and password) and click on Login.
Once connected, you will see your THRON libraries directly in the CI HUB panel.
Browse and Search Assets
Navigate your THRON DAM directly from the CI HUB panel:
In the CI HUB panel, select the THRON connection you configured.
Navigate through your DAM folders or use the search bar to find assets by name, tag or metadata.
Click on an asset to view its preview and main metadata.
Filter results by file type, distribution channel or other custom attributes.
Insert an Asset into the Document
To insert a THRON image or file into your Google Workspace document:
Select the desired asset in the CI HUB panel.
Click on the insert button (arrow icon or "Insert") to add it to the active document.
The asset is inserted where the cursor is or in the selected area of the document.
The asset's metadata (title, THRON ID, format) are maintained to ensure the traceability of the original asset.
