A hero video is a full-width looping video that plays behind the text of an opening section. With THRON you publish it starting from an already uploaded Digital Asset: the content remains linked to the platform and updates wherever it is published, without uploading duplicate files elsewhere.

Prepare and publish the hero video

1. Locate the video Digital Asset in the wall and open sharing (Share > EMBED), as described in the embed guide. Alternatively, you can use a delivery link, but for a hero section the embed player is the most direct path.

2. In the EMBED Creation panel, enable Responsive player so the video adjusts to the section width without fixed dimensions.

3. Set typical hero parameters: Autoplay enabled, Mute enabled, Loop enabled, Show controls disabled.

4. Generate the code with Update and generate EMBED code, then click Copy embed code and paste it into the page where the hero should appear.

The last mile: website-side optimization

THRON delivers the optimized asset, but the way the web page requests it significantly impacts perceived performance. If the same page reuses multiple background videos in different sections, loading them all simultaneously upon opening wastes bandwidth and delays rendering.

Lazy loading is the technique that delays loading the player until the section is about to enter the user viewport, rather than loading it along with the rest of the page.
